Everything DiSC *
(*By John Wiley & Sons, Inc)

Everything DiSC is a simple tool that offers leaders and managers information to understand themselves and others better – and this can be of tremendous help for a manager and leader.

It can be hard to figure out why we can manage and get on better with some people than others.

With DiSC, you fill in a straightforward, on-line questionnaire and then receive a report that will reveal a wealth of information about your management priorities and preferences and your strengths and areas to work on.

In addition, you will learn how to connect with, manage and work with people whose priorities and preferences differ from yours.

The positive impact of DiSC is magnified when all the members of a team, including the ‘team leader’ undertake DiSC.

Not only do individual team members understand to much more about their own priorities and preferences - they also understand the priorities and preferences of their ‘team-mates’ (and their boss) and how to reduce conflict and to increase cooperation, harmony and team effectiveness.

F4G we use Everything DiSC as a catalytic and informative tool to:-

Deliver increased self-awareness for leaders at the start of their 121 coaching programs and to assist the development of meaningful and practical Coaching Objectives for the client - objectives that will deliver increased leadership effectiveness
Provide practical, visual and informative information to the team and the ‘team leader’ on the overall team styles and why communication blockages, misunderstandings, lack of trust and general team ineffective communication issues occur
All team members can then understand exactly what they each need to do to ‘flex’ their own communication and working styles to deliver enhanced team effectiveness
A Brief History of DiSC

In the early 20th century, the Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung built on Hippocrates’ work and identified four different cognitive functions that he believed influenced personality traits. These cognitive functions were thinking, feeling, sensation, and intuition.

William Moulton Marston, a psychologist and inventor, was the next person to build on this theory. In 1928, Marston published “Emotions of Normal People,” which introduced his DISC Personality System. Marston believed that people’s behaviour was influenced by four behavioural traits, which he named Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Compliance.

Marston’s DISC theory was further developed in the 1940s by Walter Clarke, who created the first DISC assessment. Since then, DISC has been widely used in various settings, including personal development, leadership development, team building, and career counselling.

Today, many companies offer DISC assessments and F4G has selected The Fruitful Toolbox Company to partner with in the provision of DiSC assessments, reports and DiSC Accreditation.
